Lead Producer

The Torch Light Ceremony at SUNY Oswego is an annual tradition welcoming thousands of incoming students and symbolizing the passing of academic knowledge.

As lead event producer, I coordinated extensive cross-departmental logistics, seating, and speaker arrangements. The ceremony consistently featured major donors and alumni speakers, who often announced scholarships or contributed significant donations after the event, inspired by the powerful atmosphere and student engagement. My role involved scripting the program, overseeing rehearsals, managing technical teams, and ensuring every detail of the event conveyed a strong sense of tradition, pride, and belonging.

Key Highlights:

  • Produced a 2,000+ attendee live ceremony with musical performances, keynotes, and formal rituals.

  • Facilitated donor and alumni engagement, resulting in new scholarship announcements and donations.

  • Scripted and coordinated speeches, performances, and processional flow.

  • Managed logistics with administrative leadership, student life, hospitality, and production teams.

  • Created a welcoming, emotional, and high-impact experience for students and university stakeholders.
